Privacy overview

Your inbox, under your control.

GroupSignal reads the Facebook groups you pick, in your browser, and keeps matching posts in your online Sosaly inbox. Here is what stays on your device, what we store, and how to delete it.

Privacy policyUpdated October 11, 2026

An online inbox

Matches and review history stay for 30 days. Saved opportunities stay until you delete them.

Your login stays yours

Your Facebook login and cookies never leave your browser.

You decide

You choose the groups, review the matches, and decide what to do next.

01

On your device

Your Facebook login and cookies stay in the extension and are never sent to Sosaly.

GroupSignal reads only the groups you choose to monitor, never your messages or browsing history, and never posts, comments, reacts, or messages for you. Closing the browser pauses collection; your inbox stays online.

When a post is only a photo, the extension reads the text in the photo on your device. The photo is never saved or sent to Sosaly; only the text read from it is used, like post text. Languages you add besides English are downloaded once from Sosaly.

02

In your Sosaly account

  • Matching posts and saved opportunities

Post text and any text read from its photo, link and time, group and author names, why it matched, and your review. Never posts that didn't match, images, comments, or author profile IDs.

  • Facebook accounts and groups

The ID and name of each Facebook account you connect, its group list, and which groups you monitor. Names and lists are encrypted, used only for your group search, and never sent to AI or webhooks. Group memberships can reveal sensitive things about you; delete a list or forget an account on the Connections page.

  • Monitor settings

Names, what to look for, and what to exclude, plus any languages you add for reading text in photos.

  • Webhook settings

Your Zapier or Make destination, stored encrypted.

  • Account basics

Sign-in, subscription, and usage counts. See the Sosaly privacy notice.

03

AI and webhooks

AI matching. To check a post against your monitors, a short excerpt of the post, or the text read from its photo, is sent for AI analysis; setup help sends your draft. Only matches and their explanations are kept.

Webhooks. If you connect Zapier or Make, Sosaly sends the fields you choose, even while your browser is closed. Once delivered, that service's privacy policy applies and we can't recall it.

Website. No third-party marketing trackers.

Retention and deletion

DataHow long
Unsaved matches and review history30 days after the match arrives
Saved opportunitiesUntil you delete them
Facebook account names and group listsUntil you delete the list, or forget or fully disconnect the account
Diagnostics on your device7 days, with no post content

Clearing your device. A full reset in the extension, or removing it, clears GroupSignal data from that browser. Your inbox, account, and subscription stay. Reconnect with the same Facebook account and its groups resume.

Deleting inbox records. Deleting a match removes it on every device. Deleting a monitor removes all its records, saved ones included. Pausing, signing out, or an ended subscription deletes nothing early.

Deleting your account. Request it from your account page. Renewals stop, remaining paid time still counts, and you then have 30 days to change your mind. We keep required payment records, and a used free trial can't be restarted with the same email for 12 months.
